IITJEE FOUNDATION STREAM
Green Grove Overview
IFS is the acronym for “IITJEE FOUNDATION STREAM”. The students will be selected through a screening test for this stream. Very few students will be short listed for this stream. The students in this stream will be given foundation in the three main subjects Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. A special curriculum has been framed called Integrated Syllabus which is a rich blend of key concepts from State, CBSE and ICSE syllabi. A comprehensive study material prepared by our esteemed faculty will have been provided for each concept followed by assignments. Students are ensured with counselling session in the evening time from 6PM to 8PM for doubts clarification. Students will be taken an objective cum descriptive test called ICAN (Integrated Concepts’ Application Nutshell) periodically i.e. for every fortnight. The question paper consists of objective questions for ten marks and descriptive questions for fifteen marks from each subject. Students will be awarded ranks basing on their marks obtained in the ICAN exam. The parents will be intimated the results through an SMS to their registered mobiles. There will be a review session for the students immediately after the results announced to excel them in the lagging or misunderstanding concepts.
The underlying objective of this program is to provide concept oriented teaching (COT) for the students and to nourish them with the rich concept and its applications.
N.B.: Only our own designed curriculum for the three main subjects mathematics, physics and chemistry will be taught throughout the academic year. For X standard, the state board curriculum will be taught parallel to the integrated syllabus for all the subjects. NCERT curriculum will be followed for rest of the subjects for VI to IX standards.
